ECS Office Summer Hours 2022

The Emerado office is open to the public:

August 29 - September 1st: 8 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.

September 1:  8:00-4:00 p.m.

September 2:  8:00 - 12:00 p.m.

Dismissal on June 30, 2022

The students at Emerado will be dismissed at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 30.  Have a good summer!

 Field Day and Family Lunch Postponed

Emerado's field day and family lunch are postponed until Thursday due to weather.  Classes will go forward as per a usual school day. Students are asked to bring lunch or go home for lunch as usual as well.

Bring Your Reusible Water Bottle to School - April 4, 2022

Parents and guardians of ECS students,

If your child does not have a refillable water bottle at school, please send one with your child. At Emerado, we have two very handy water bottle filling stations so that students can stay hydrated throughout the day. Students are encouraged to have refillable water bottles at their desks and to take these with them to Physical Education classes.

Our water fountains continue to be shut off at Emerado, due to public health concerns. While we have been providing water bottles to students who don’t have their own refillable bottle, this practice is not sustainable. We are giving out many bottles of water daily, which is costly, wasteful and not environmentally friendly.

We want to work with you to keep all of our kids healthy and hydrated! By providing a refillable water bottle, you are helping your child to be responsible, healthy and a good steward of our earth!

Letter From the Interim Superintendant (March 4, 2022)

Emerado Centennial School’s 2021-2022 Yearbook

Every year at Emerado is a great one, and this year is no exception. We’ve learned and grown together since September, and have many more opportunities to make memories together until June. Documenting it all in our yearbook allows us to share the memories for years to come! Whether this is your child’s first or last year at ECS, they have had countless opportunities to make great memories!

Yearbooks are on sale starting now! Complete the Yearbook Order Form, which we sent home with your child. Hand it in, along with payment, to your child’s homeroom teacher by March 25th for the best price of $15 each. If you prefer to wait to order, we will accept orders between April 4th – 22nd for the price of $20 each. Yearbooks purchased with the order form can be paid for with cash or by cheque made out to “GVSD”.  Click here for a copy of the order form.

A special note of thanks: Yearbooks would not be possible without the dedication of two very special teachers at ECS - Mrs. Rhonda Rempel and Ms. Jessica Riddell. Mrs. Rempel and Ms. Riddell have dedicated hundreds of hours towards snapping pictures, compiling pictures, editing pages, and imaging and creating the unique yearbook that your child can buy. While they work with a small team, Mrs. Rempel and Ms. Riddell work tirelessly to make each yearbook special for our students, and for that, we are so grateful to them!
