It was Ralph Waldo Emerson who wrote, "Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing with all your might...be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective." It is with enthusiasm and great pride that I welcome you to Emerado Centennial School!
After years of design, research, and planning, Emerado Centennial School opened in the fall of 2006, providing staff and students with a great new educational experience. While the building itself is an amazing space in which to work and learn, it’s the people inside and the community supporting this new school that makes Emerado such a wonderful place to be. Emerado Centennial School has a dynamic staff of educators who love children, love teaching, and are committed to the success of each student. It’s the relationship of these dedicated, creative, and talented staff members together with students and supportive parents that create the environment for success at Emerado.
The Emerado Centennial School learning community values innovative, differentiated, and interdisciplinary instruction, and gives emphasis to relationships and community, exploratory learning experiences, citizenship education, literacy, the arts, and athletic opportunity. Emerado Centennial School features Garden Valley School Division’s middle years educational philosophy.
